So yes we will be having a little boy on or around February 22. I went in for my first appointment and they just quickly threw me into ultrasound to determine how far along I was, and she asked us if we wanted to know the gender then told us we would be having a little boy. Best part was seeing Jeff's reaction, he looked quite pleased. It all seemed much more real actually seeing the baby on the ultrasound. I don't think I even really believed it yet, even though I'd been throwing up for over 3 months. We did have a scare with him though and they thought I was miscarrying. The doctors at the ER were trying to mentally prepare us that it would be traumatic since it would look like a baby with fingers and toes and everything. So they took me into another ultrasound and found that he was ok. So they think I started out with two babies and one just didn't develop. It was such a huge relief that the baby was ok. Also baby boy still has no name. We can't commit.
It's hard to believe that I am over half-way through the pregnancy now, but it will be soooo nice to feel like a normal person again. I will say I am not one of those women who enjoys being pregnant. I still feel nauseous sometimes, but not nearly how I was at first. I'm starting to get a bump but not one that anyone besides my mom or Jeff. Right now I just feel like I look like I've put on some weight on my stomach. I still wear my normal clothes mostly. Although, I did finally break down and bought a pair of maternity pants...oh so wonderful, other than the fact they still fall down since I don't have much of a belly yet.
School is pretty exhausting, but it keeps me moving which usually helps me feel better unless its super early in the morning. Those days are no fun. Its nice to think though that I'm still working out walking over an hour a day, and I have my spin class which is fun. Other than that things are going pretty good. Just work and school and Jeff has work and school. I really need a break though, but I'll have to muddle through till Thanksgiving. The end of school is in sight though, and that will be so amazing to be done.
